Gregorio's Italian Restaurant

“It feels like home”. Quaint, small dining room with eclectic pieces. We recently moved downriver from Detroit, and Gregorio’s was on our list. We’re major foodies, having been to most restaurants in the D. Yet many don’t give you true “welcome” feeling. I made a resy and when I came in I shared with the lovely woman (Debby) who greeted us that we came here to support the business and that we’ve been wanting to come here. She was so appreciative and gracious- which told me this was going to be a wonderful evening. My partner and I were celebrating our 28 years together. Quaint two top next to the bar- which also is the hostess counter. I loved it. Jeanette made my wife a fabulous dirty martini, while I enjoyed a premixed Chocolate Martini. Appetizer were the delicious meatballs. That sauce! An old Sicilian family recipe. We enjoyed the veal Marsala, stuffed flounder with crabmeat and the fettuccine Alfredo that was most certainly it made from scratch. Shared a bottle of wine and finished with their homemade cannoli and the almond cake. Towards the end of our meal Debby (one of the owners) chatted with us for quite awhile. We learned the history, the struggles and the story behind this 21 year old gem in Wyandotte. She was an absolute delight and we felt like we have been friends for years. Oh! Do not let me forget the homemade limoncello shots. Delish! Thanks to Debby and her wonderful staff for a memorable evening. Tried this place for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised! The portions are generous, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is vibrant—with a fun little train that circles around the ceiling. I'm definitely coming back to try more dishes!

Came here with a group of ladies from a womens social group I'm in. The service was great, and the restaurant was adorable. Almost felt like I was having dinner at a friend's house with how small and intimate the restaurant is. The cannoli I had was DELICIOUS. The chicken parmesan was okay, but in my opinion, it was lacking flavor, and the abundance of spaghetti that came with it was a bit much. Everyone else at my table loved their food though.

So I saw the original fb post from Gregorio's Italian Restaurant a while back asking the community to remember them and come try it. My best friend and i agreed we would for my b day. It did not disappoint! We got there around 6:45 prime dinner time. It was PACKED. Not an open seat in sight, and 3 people ahead of us wait. The owner greeted us, apologized for the wait and reassured us it wouldnt be as long as it seemed. It wasnt. We waited maybe 15 minutes, we were sat, our water and bread brought out immediately our drink orders taken. Within 10 minutes our food order was in. Mind you, it was full to capacity. Our food came out in waves, bread, salad, then entrees, always right on time. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Now the food: Bread and Oil: fresh warm soft bread, oil and seasonings already mixed. Salad:Our salad was fresh, with delicious italian dressing. Chicken Parm: The chicken was thin, and crispy and full of flavor in the breading. The homemade sauce was immaculate, the spaghetti made in house was to die for. Our service was top notch, waters never empty, some form of food in front of me start to finish. Then the owner came and talked to us table-side and we had a great convo about food, weight loss, history of the business etc. She was so kind and welcoming. This place gets 5 10/10 if you can make it down, id go. I will be going back.

Took my daughter here for dinner food was great service was amazing. Our waitress was Liz she was dealing with a not so nice customer but handled it beautifully. If you go there I would ask for Liz she's awesome.!!!!!!!

Everything was really good! I’m glad I took the server’s recommendation on the chicken dish because it was really good. Really well cooked. Chicken breast can end up so dry and rubbery but this was cooked nicely and the sauce was super flavorful. Thought the vegetables were going to be sad but they were actually nice and blistered that still had texture. The red sauce was ok, little sweet for my liking but you can taste how well they cooked it down and concentrated it was which was nice. Just need more spice to it for me. SO liked the Shrimp Alfredo. Noodles were cooked well, not mushy like some other places. That cannoli was awesome though. We both said we’d come back just for that . It wasn’t prefilled so it shows they are actually putting effort into it. We got half pumpkin half traditional. Definitely gotta come back and try more!
